Frank Sander

Frank Sander is the founder of The Little Knife Sanctuary in rural Duluth Township.  His mission is to preserve his natural site for future generations to create in nature.

He has single handedly created a refuge for fellow artists to use in their creative endeavors.

Born in Hamburg Germany in 1949 and Sander has lived and worked in the United States for over 40 years.  His one-person exhibit, Human Nature was the culmination of his sculptural and filmmaking expertise shown at The Minneapolis Institute of Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2002.

He continues to address the relationship of Humans to Nature and creates films documenting Artists, The Environment, and the Nature of Humans.
